Folge 4: Flaschenpost nach Irgendwann
In der vierten und vorerst letzten Folge unseres Podcasts blicken wir zurück. Die Hand an der Stirn, gegen das Licht, weit hinaus aufs Meer, das Altenburg umsäumt. Wir treffen zwei junge Frauen, die die Flaschenpost des Schiffbrüchigen finden, lauschen den Worten, die noch einmal die letzten vier Wochen Revue passieren lassen. Was bleibt in Altenburg, fragen wir uns und lassen ein letztes Mal alle Beteiligten zu Wort kommen.
Begleitet von der fantastischen Musik von Alan Bern und Rosanna Ter-Berg schippern wir um Altenburg herum und nehmen Abschied. Abschied von der Werft und den Werkstätten und ihren Macher*innen, Abschied von Melusine, Abschied von Altenburg.

Episode 4: Message in a bottle to Someday
In the fourth and for the time being last episode of our podcast we look back. Hand to forehead, against the light, far out to sea that skirts Altenburg. We meet two young women who find the shipwrecked man's message in a bottle, listen to the words that once again review the last four weeks. What remains in Altenburg, we ask ourselves, and let everyone involved have their say one last time.
Accompanied by the fantastic music of Alan Bern and Rosanna Ter-Berg, we sail around Altenburg and say goodbye. Farewell to the shipyard and the workshops and their makers, farewell to Melusine, farewell to Altenburg.

Woche 4: Kleine Katastrophen und großer Optimismus
Wow, die Zeit rauscht vorbei wie ein Rennboot - ein Status, dem sich auch unsere "Mary Jane" langsam aber sicher annähert! ;-) Trotz zwischenzeitlichem Stau an der Werft und dem großen "Farb-Drama" in drei Akten geben die Werftis alles, um das Boot rechtzeitig zur großen Parade auf Hochglanz zu polieren. Derweil scheint die Operation am offenen Motor von Erfolg gekrönt!
Jede Menge Schulklassen und Einzelbesucher spülte die "Stadtrallye" zu uns an die Werft, während in der Paradenwerkstatt volle Fahrt voraus an den Kostümen für den 3. Juli gewerkelt wird. Nach vier aufregenden Wochen reihen sich "letzte" aneinander: Letzter Workshoptag mit den Schüler*innen, letzter Podcast, letzte Aufnahmen mit dem Landestheater Altenburg-Gera für das Puppenstück. Zudem kam es zu einem krassen Kurswechsel für die anstehende Bootstour. Weil Saale und Elbe zu wenig Wasser führen, steuert "Mary Jane" nun auf dem Mittellandkanal der See entgegen.
Week 4: Small disasters and great optimism
Wow, time is rushing by like a racing boat - a status that our "Mary Jane" is also slowly but surely approaching! ;-) Despite the temporary traffic jam at the shipyard and the big "color drama" in three acts, the shipyard workers give their all to polish the boat to a high gloss in time for the big parade. Meanwhile, the open engine operation seems to be crowned with success!
The "city rally" has brought many school classes and individual visitors to the shipyard, while the parade workshop is working full speed ahead on the costumes for July 3. After four exciting weeks, the "last" ones are lined up one after the other: last workshop day with the students, last podcast, last recordings with the Landestheater Altenburg-Gera for the puppet play. In addition, there was a blatant change of course for the upcoming boat tour. Because the Saale and Elbe rivers have too little water, "Mary Jane" is now heading for the sea on the Mittelland Canal.
